The last Thursday, 29th of June, Foro Ferrol Vivo organized, in the Centro Cívico de Canido (Ferrol), a seminar about European programs and projects, and PROYFE, management company of the project, introduced LIFEDrainRain (LIFE 15/ENV/ES/000394). In this seminar, representatives of Seitura 22, management entity of Leader program, IES Catabois members like beneficiaries of Erasmus+ program and representatives of Ferrol’s Council participated explaining their programs and projects.
The presentation of LIFEDrainRain consisted in an introduction to LIFE program and its objectives, and the presentation of the LIFEDrainRain project, objectives, characteristics, development of the project and impacts.
One of the actions included in the project is the execution, in Ferrol’s Port, of a pilot with a new system that consists in a pervious concrete photocatalytic pavement and a water treatment equipment. This system aims to eliminate runoff water pollution which will allow reuse the water for another uses.
